What is 211? 211 is an easy to remember telephone number that connects people to a full range of non-emergency social services and resources in their community. Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days per year trained information and referral (I&R) specialists answer 211 calls, assess the needs for each caller and link them to the best available information and services. Calls are confidential and help is available in over 150 languages. Over 1500 service providers in Kane County have been loaded into the 211 database.
The (free) 211 service went live for all of Kane County at the beginning of November. We need your help to get information about 211 out to the community.
